EPL: Mourinho reacts to Tottenham’s 1-0 lost to Brighton, says defeat does not put him in hell

ENGLAND – Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, has insisted that a 1-0 defeat to Brighton on Sunday, does not put him in hell.

Leandro Trossard’s first half finish proved to be the winner at the Amex Stadium.

IThe result condemned Mourinho’s side to two successive Premier League defeats in four days.

Spurs have now won only twice in nine league fixtures and are 11 points behind leaders Manchester City.

Mourinho said: “We didn’t start well and after conceding the goal nothing improved.

“My feeling was the team was a bit sad. The performance was not very good, but a victory doesn’t put me in paradise and a defeat doesn’t put me in hell.

“Now we are in a difficult moment with results, injuries and self-esteem.”

Up next for Mourinho and Tottenham, is a home fixture against his former side, Chelsea, on Thursday.
