TURKEY – Fenerbahce will officially announce Mesut Ozil’s arrival on Saturday, as the player has been in isolation, Sabah reports.
Ozil has seen his contract terminated at Arsenal making him a free agent.
The German is taking a big pay cut to sign for the Turkish giants, having been on £350,000-a-week with the Gunners.
The 32-year-old gave up £7m in earnings by opting against seeing out the final six months of his Arsenal deal.
Ozil will sign a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Turkish side.
A signing bonus is set to come his way, while he will also get add-ons should Fenerbahce win the title or qualify for the Champions League.
Shirts with Ozil’s name and the number 67 are set to go on sale the day he is officially announced.
Ozil has not played competitively since March having been frozen out at Arsenal.
