ENGLAND – Former Arsenal striker, Emmanuel Adebayor, has insisted that he advised midfielder, Thomas Partey, to join the Gunners over Chelsea and Manchester United because the Emirates club would be good for his development.
Adebayor stated this ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Leeds United on November 22.
Recall that Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid last summer transfer window in September.
“He [Thomas Partey] told me that some clubs in England, namely Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and others have shown interest in him and he needs advice,” Adebayor, who spent three years at Arsenal, was quoted by Metro UK as saying at an event in Ghana.
“I advised him to go to Arsenal because I’ve had the opportunity to play there and I think it’ll be good for his development.
“Arsenal is more than a club, it’s a family, and I am impressed with his performances so far in the Premier League.”
