OYO, Nigeria – Youths calling for a total ban of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and reform of Nigerian Police Force have stormed major roads in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
OgeneAfrican learnt that the peaceful protest is led by some activists and youth leaders in the state.
Our correspondent monitoring the protest reports that the protesters are currently blocking the Iwo Road interchange in Ibadan.
Some of the protesters protested at the University of Ibadan gate and other strategic areas in the state capital.
The protesting youths carried various placards demanding a total ban of SARS.
They are currently at Iwo Road as at the time of filing this report on Tuesday.
