LAGOS, Nigeria – Former Big Brother housemate and winner of the 2019 ”Pepper dem’ edition of the reality show, Mercy Eke, has reacted to the backlash from Nigerians for saying that she’s too busy to watch the reality show.
Mercy in a viral video on her Insta story on Tuesday slammed those who tagged her on housemates social media accounts expecting her to support them.
According to her, she is too busy to watch the show and chasing her reality at the moment.
This stirred reactions from BBNaija fans on social media as some described her as ungrateful to those who voted for her on the show last year.
Making clarifications, Mercy took to her Twitter page saying that the video was edited short and she was referring to those tarnishing her image because she decided to be neutral.
She added that she is grateful for their votes and not a representation of their narratives of her being ungrateful after winning the show.
Her tweet read: “I was talking to those who were tarnishing my image on Twitter because I decided to stay neutral.
“I love all housemates equally, and everyone knows I’m a thankful person. Your narrative will never change my personality.
“For those who already knew that the clip was edited short without any shalaye thank you for knowing me.”
