Liverpool FC Women’s team have been relegated to the FA Women’s Championship.
Liverpool Women, whose men’s team are on top of the Premier League table, got relegated following the decision of the Football Association to decide the 2019-20 Women’s Super League on a basic point-per-game basis.
The Women Super League was suspended indefinitely in March following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
They were at the bottom of the table before the league was suspended with eight games left to be played.
Chelsea, who have been declared Women Super League champions, and Manchester City will represent England in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Premier League leaders will face Everton on June 21st as the English Premier League prepares to return to action.
