Coronavirus: Abia govt sends warning to defaulters on public gathering orders

ABIA, Nigeria – The State government has issued serious warning to those violating its directive on public gathering and crowd control.

The State Government, in a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Chris Ezem, and forwarded to DAILY POST on Monday, reiterated its directive to the Transition Committee Chairmen of the seventeen local government areas in Abia and Traditional rulers in their domains to enforce the government’s order without failure.

“Other directives issued earlier on transportation, hospitality industry, etc are still in force.

“Abia State Government earnestly feel the pains and sacrifices every citizen must make so that together we will win the battle against coronavirus,” it said.

Meanwhile, as part of his contributions to the fight against the rampaging Coronavirus, Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Orji, has intensified sensitisation of the people.
