NIGERIA – Niger Delta Activist, Tamuno commends President Buhari for appointing Jamoh as NIMASA DG
Ijaw leader and Niger Delta Activist, General George Tamuno has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Bashir Jamoh as the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA.
Reacting to the appointment of a new NIMASA DG in a statement, Tamuno said President Buhari made the right decision in his new choice
“I believe Nigerians would be happy over the appointment of Bashir Jamoh as DG of NIMASA. Clearly, Bashir Jamoh has the required educational qualifications and administrative experience overtime to effectively and efficiently manage, transform NIMASA”
Tamuno noted that Jamoh having worked in the then National Maritime Authority, NMA in 1994 and NIMASA since 2003, will perform to expectations.
He also urged Nigerians and stakeholders in the maritime sector to accord the new DG the needed supports to deliver on his new mandate.
Until his new appointment as NIMASA DG, Bashir Jamoh was Executive Director, Administration, and Finance, and is billed to take over from Dr. Peterside Dakuku on March 10, 2020.
