ONDO, Nigeria – Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Wednesday dissolved the Task Force on Farmers’ Registration with immediate effect.
Mr Olusegun Ajiboye, his Chief Press Secretary, made the announcement in a statement in Akure.
The government ordered members of the dissolved Task Force to handover government’s property in their possession to the state’s Commissioner for Agriculture.
The statement quoted the governor as expressing his appreciation to them for their service to the state.
“A new Task Force will be constituted in due course,” he said.
Akeredolu, last Friday, returned to the state after spending five weeks outside Ondo.
There had been rumours regarding his health status following his absence from the state after his annual leave elapsed on October 4, 2019.
