USA – A heart broken mum has taken to Facebook to share horrific images of her child who was beaten to a pulp in his Day care after prosecutors refused to bring up charges against the Day care or it’s staff as school authorities claimed that the child was beaten severely by a 2 year child he was left with.
Jesse Harris IV was a one-year-old at the time of the attack in April 2018, and his mother, Tiffany Griffin received a call from Kiddie Garden Daycare in Indianapolis, Indiana claiming the little boy had been attacked by a two-year-old child. But the distraught mother after seeing the extent of the injuries that left him with cut, grazes and severely swollen lips filed for charges in April 2018 believing that such attack couldn’t have been carried out by a 2 year old child.
The day care in Indianapolis, Indiana, said to police that they had left Jesse in a “safe sleeping environment” with another child.
They also said an employee “periodically” checked on the two of them and phoned the boy’s parent after seeing his wounds.
Tiffany said “When I saw my son’s face – I was like – If a 2-year-old did it, how could she have that much time to do that?
“I would have heard my son screaming from outside.”
Prosecutor Terry Curry, supporting the daycare service’s account of the incident released a statement detailing why charges won’t be brought up against the school or it’s staff.
He said: “A medical expert confirmed that the child’s injuries were consistent with having been inflicted by another young child.
“The daycare employee who was responsible for the child’s care has cooperated in the investigation.”
The boy’s father. Jesse Harris III said on his Facebook page: “Welcome to America, where a 1-year-old baby can be beat, and no one is held accountable.
“America, you have no soul; our children are doomed.
“Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it. Ignorance, allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.”
