LAGOS, Nigeria – Heavy security presence has been reported at the Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of 2020 budget estimate presentation on Friday by the governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu
NAN reports that Security operatives who were already at their respective positions included officers from the military personnel, Nigeria Police and the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were also seen controlling traffic within Alausa and its environs.
The budget estimate will be Sanwo-Olu’s inaugural presentation to the state assembly since assuming office on May 29.
The budget was proposed by former Gov. Akinwinmi Ambode on Feb. 5 with an estimate of N852.31 billion.
