ENGLAND – Manchester United on Sunday evening broke two English Premier League (EPL) records in their 3-1 win over Norwich City.
Goals from Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial ensured Man United defeated Norwich at Carrow Road.
According to OptaJoe, the Red Devils became the first team to reach 2000 Premier League goals after McTominay opened scoring for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the first half of the encounter.
Also, both Rashford and Martial are the first pair of teammates in the English top-flight league to have both scored a goal and missed a penalty each in the same EPL game.
The result against Norwich means, Man United are now in seventh position on the Premier League table with 13 points from 10 matches.
Man United will now take on Bournemouth in their next Premier League fixture on November 2.
